Harry Godfrey Mbise
Harry is an advocate at the Firm holding an LLB Degree from Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law School of Tanzania. He is a practicing advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and all courts subordinate thereto. He is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society, the Bar Association of Tanzania Mainland.
Harry carries experience in several legal disciplines including Corporate & Commercial Law, Tax, Employment and Labour Relations, Contract Law, Estate Administration and Planning and has experience working under the Registration, Insolvency and Trusteeship Agency, iResolve Ltd and Maira & Adhis Co. Advocates.
Since the onset of his legal practice, Harry has handled and/or been a part of the following transactions;
Advise on financial institutions including their establishment of the entities, advise on associated governmental authorities, respective regulatory and procedural elements and compliance-related considerations.
Advise on industry-centric businesses in all aspects of establishment, city planning considerations, licensing, worker & site safety and propriety.
Legal research and analysis on asset tracing and recovery options available to clients. This also includes the legal maneuvering and accounting of secrecy/privacy laws and policies.
Creation of legal opinions and alerts on FINTECH, MoUs, Independent Contractors and other labour-related matters, tax and many more.
Beneficial ownership compliance of entities in the form of registering details and supporting documents for underlying and/or controlling ownership structure.
Corporate reorganizations including corporate acquisitions of both asset and shares together with consultation, compliance, documentation, perfection and tax consideration analysis.
Corporate compliance including registration of yearly accounts, facilitation of changes to share structure, management, ownership and information. This also entails the incorporation of companies and the preparation of all related paperwork including constitutional documents, required forms and as well, keeping of records of clients’ details and information along with advising clients on post incorporation requirements and compliances.
Harry is currently pursuing his Masters of Laws in Taxation at the University of Dar es Salaam, School of Law.
